Shinhan Bank Participates in ADB Annual Meeting
Shinhan Bank announced on the 1st that it will participate as a sponsoring bank in the 56th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) held in Songdo, Incheon.
ADB is an international organization established in 1966 to promote economic growth and cooperation in Asia, one of the poorest regions in the world. It provides loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to member countries to eradicate extreme poverty. The 56th ADB Annual Meeting will be held face-to-face in Songdo, Incheon for the first time in three years, with about 5,000 officials from over 60 countries participating.
Shinhan Bank signed a sponsorship agreement for the ADB Annual Meeting with the Ministry of Economy and Finance on April 14 and will participate in various ways, including operating a corporate exhibition booth, creating a shared networking hub space, and providing lunch for participants. In addition, affiliates of Shinhan Financial Group will jointly operate an exhibition pavilion focusing on the theme of 'Digital Transformation of Finance.'
Jung Sang-hyuk, President of Shinhan Bank, is also expected to actively participate in the opening ceremony, meetings with executives of overseas financial companies, new business memorandum of understanding (MOU) signings, and official receptions and dinners to promote the development of Korea's financial industry and strengthen global competitiveness.
