ProteomeTech Supplies Allergy Diagnostic Products to India’s Largest Testing Institution ‘Lal Pathlabs’
Proteomec, a specialized company in in vitro diagnostic medical devices (CEO Lim Guk-jin), announced on the 24th that it began supplying the allergy diagnostic kit ‘Protia Allergy-Q 96M’ to India’s largest testing institution, ‘Lal Pathlabs,’ starting early April.
‘Lal Pathlabs,’ to which Proteomec is supplying the allergy diagnostic kit, is India’s largest medical institution with about 250 diagnostic centers under its umbrella, conducting blood tests, diabetes tests, thyroid tests, allergy tests, and more.
The ‘Protia Allergy-Q 96M’ supplied to ‘Lal Pathlabs’ is Proteomec’s 3rd generation product capable of testing 107 types of allergies at once, and the 4th generation product ‘Protia Allergy-Q 128M,’ currently released domestically, is planned to be launched soon.
Previously, Proteomec has been exporting allergy diagnostic products to the Indian market since 2018, and its products have been recognized locally for their excellent performance and quality.
A Proteomec representative stated, “Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for allergy diagnostics in India has rapidly grown, and we expect sales expansion of our allergy diagnostic kits. Starting with the launch of Protia Allergy-Q 96M, we plan to introduce additional products incorporating Proteomec’s unique technology, such as allergy diagnostic products for companion animals and autoimmune disease diagnostic products, to expand our influence in the Indian market.”
India, with a population of 1.4 billion, is one of the major export target countries where the potential demand for allergy testing is expected to exceed 50 million tests annually. Proteomec is making various efforts to expand exports beyond this product supply, and the export amount to India this year is also expected to increase significantly compared to the previous year.
