Suwon-si to Remove Abandoned Vehicles Left Unattended for Over 2 Months
The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is launching a comprehensive cleanup of abandoned vehicles.
From the 17th of this month until the 8th of next month, Suwon City announced that it will conduct a thorough cleanup of abandoned vehicles, focusing on areas with frequent complaints about abandoned cars and free public parking lots heavily used by residents.
The targets for cleanup are vehicles that have been left without proper authorization on others' land such as apartments or private property for more than two months, or vehicles that have been left on roads for extended periods and are deemed unmanaged.
When abandoned vehicles are found, the city will encourage owners to voluntarily move their vehicles, and illegally parked vehicles violating the Road Traffic Act will be handled in coordination with each district's traffic guidance team and Suwon Urban Corporation.
Last year, the city towed 98 abandoned vehicles and imposed fines totaling 61.4 million won.
