Yuhan Corporation Launches 'DangQurak', Korea's First Blood Sugar Management Probiotic
Yuhan Corporation announced on the 11th that it will launch Korea's first blood sugar care probiotic Wisebiome Care 'DangQlock'.
The main ingredient of DangQlock is the probiotic Lactobacillus Plantarum HAC01. It is an individually recognized probiotic product approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for its functionality in "helping to suppress postprandial blood sugar rise." According to Yuhan Corporation, taking one capsule a day can regulate the gut microbiota to help suppress postprandial blood sugar rise, promote smooth bowel movements, and manage intestinal health. The company added that human application tests confirmed suppression of blood sugar rise two hours after meals and a reduction in glycated hemoglobin.
According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the number of diabetes patients in Korea exceeded 3.2 million in 2020. In a situation where the number of diabetes patients is increasing due to stress, lack of exercise, and irregular lifestyle habits, Yuhan Corporation stated that DangQlock, a probiotic product, will be helpful for customers who need blood sugar care.
