The number of successful candidates in this year's national civil service Grade 5 open competitive examination and diplomatic candidate selection first exam (PSAT) is 2,403.
The Ministry of Personnel Management announced the successful candidates of the '2023 National Civil Service Grade 5 Open Competitive Recruitment and Diplomatic Candidate Selection First Exam' held on March 4 on the Cyber National Examination Center on the 5th.
The number of successful candidates for the national Grade 5 open competitive exam is 2,098 (1,512 administrative positions, 586 technical positions), and 305 diplomatic candidates passed, making a total of 2,403 successful candidates.
A total of 7,752 candidates took the Grade 5 open competitive first exam for 305 positions, recording a competition ratio of 25.4:1.
The highest passing score was 86.66 points in General Administration (Daegu), and female successful candidates accounted for 34.2% of the total, with 718 women passing.
The average age of successful candidates was 27.4 years, higher than last year's 26.9 years, and according to the local talent recruitment quota system, a total of 42 local talents were additionally admitted, including 25 in General Administration (nationwide), 14 in Finance, 1 in International Trade, and 2 in General Civil Engineering (nationwide).
Also, due to the application of the gender equality recruitment quota system, a total of 20 candidates were additionally admitted, including 2 in Legal Administration, 16 in Finance, and 2 in General Mechanical Engineering.
A total of 1,292 candidates took the diplomatic candidate first exam for 45 positions, showing a competition ratio of 28.7:1.
The average age of successful candidates was 26.6 years, slightly higher than last year (26.5 years), and according to the local talent recruitment quota system, 5 local talents were additionally admitted in the general diplomacy field. Female successful candidates accounted for 59.7% of the total, with 182 women passing.
The second exam for those who passed the first exam will be held from June 24 to 29 for Grade 5 administrative positions and diplomatic candidates, and from June 30 to July 5 for Grade 5 technical positions.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Personnel Management will expand candidates' right to know and support exam convenience by additionally disclosing statistics such as average scores, highest and lowest scores of candidates and successful candidates by subject for the Grade 5 open competitive first exam through the Cyber National Examination Center starting this year.
