Two Men Arrested and Prosecuted for Beating Neighbor to Death Over Noise Dispute in Gosiwon
Two men who fatally assaulted a neighboring resident in the hallway of a gosiwon have been brought to trial.
The Criminal Division 2 of the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Lee Young-hwa) announced on the 5th that two men in their 40s, Mr. A, and in their 60s, Mr. B, who are accused of causing death by injury, were arrested and indicted the day before.
Mr. A is accused of opening the door and coming out of a gosiwon in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, around 1 a.m. on the 11th of last month, colliding with a man in his 60s, and after a dispute over noise issues, repeatedly striking the victim's head with fists and feet, resulting in death.

Mr. B, who was acquainted with Mr. A, also joined in and inflicted injuries for about 50 minutes. The victim, who was beaten by the two men, was left unattended for about six hours and died from traumatic brain hemorrhage.
