Seoul Women's University-KISTI, Joint Agreement for Science and Technology Research and Education Cooperation
Seoul Women’s University signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) on the 3rd to share science and technology infrastructure and collaborate on research and education.
This agreement focuses on △ sharing and joint utilization of science and technology information, knowledge infrastructure, and national research and development information △ jointly promoting educational curricula and programs for science and technology data analysis and supercomputing utilization △ exchanging metaverse platform technologies supporting collaboration throughout the entire research and development cycle and supporting platform improvements △ jointly hosting seminars and workshops to advance library research support services and explore digital innovation strategies.

According to the agreement, Seoul Women’s University will be able to utilize KISTI-operated science and technology knowledge infrastructure integrated service platforms such as ScienceON, the metaverse platform KIONVERSE, the National Science and Technology Knowledge Information Service (NTIS), and the KESLI journal subscription analysis service for university library research support services.
Seunghyun Woo, President of Seoul Women’s University, said, “We expect to plan and systematically operate educational courses utilizing KISTI’s various information platforms. We hope that the two institutions can closely cooperate to advance the university library’s research support services and strengthen the research capabilities of its members.”

Jae-Soo Kim, President of KISTI, stated, “University libraries play a role in enhancing research capabilities by providing researchers with the knowledge infrastructure necessary throughout the entire research and development process. Sharing the vast science and technology knowledge infrastructure and national research and development information that KISTI has built and operated with Seoul Women’s University, as well as jointly developing educational programs and projects tailored to the needs of university members, will contribute to discovering and nurturing talent.”
