Changwon Special City Holds Inaugural Active Administration Committee Appointment Ceremony
On the 3rd, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the appointment ceremony for the Active Administration Committee and conducted its first meeting.
The Changwon Active Administration Committee is composed of Ha Jongmok, the 1st Vice Mayor as the chairperson, 8 ex officio members, and 14 private members who are experts from various fields such as professors and lawyers. The committee plays a role in deliberating and deciding on matters related to the establishment and promotion of policies for active administration.

View original imageIf public officials find it difficult to actively carry out their duties due to related regulations or unclear laws, they can request the committee to provide opinions on the direction of work processing. When work is carried out according to the committee’s opinions, the effect of exemption from liability for active administration applies, allowing the officials in charge to be free from audit burdens and to actively perform their duties.
At the first meeting, the city reviewed the 2023 active administration implementation plan, the criteria and procedures for selecting outstanding active administration public officials, and finalized the key tasks for active administration in 2023.
This year, the city plans to promote five major strategies and 11 core tasks: ▲activation of the active administration promotion system ▲preferential treatment for active administration public officials ▲protection and expanded support for active administration public officials ▲prevention and eradication of passive administration ▲strengthening participation and communication in active administration. Additionally, six key tasks will be intensively managed, including ▲operation of integrated review for housing construction projects ▲introduction of the shared-type Plus Nubija ▲focused health management services for home-based disabled persons with chronic diseases.
