KDI Urged to Present "Accurate Economic Policies"
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Choo Kyung-ho urged the Korea Development Institute (KDI) to provide accurate situation analysis and policy alternatives at the Ministry of Economy and Finance-KDI joint policy seminar.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Finance on the 31st, Deputy Prime Minister Choo presided over the 2nd Ministry of Economy and Finance-KDI joint policy seminar held at the Korea Development Institute (KDI) on the 31st. This seminar, held for the second time following last September, featured active discussions focusing on the diagnosis of the recent economic situation and the future direction of macroeconomic policy.
Deputy Prime Minister Choo stated, “Given the current difficult macroeconomic conditions, finding the optimal policy mix is more challenging than ever, so I ask KDI to do its best in providing accurate situation analysis and policy alternatives.” He added, “We will continue to communicate and cooperate steadily with KDI in the future, and also expand the discussion platform to explore policy directions with other government-funded research institutes.”
