National Pension Service Decides Not to Support Reappointment of Three KT Outside Directors
The National Pension Service, the largest shareholder of KT, has decided to oppose the reappointment of outside director Pyohyeon-myeong among the three outside directors up for reappointment at KT's regular shareholders' meeting.
On the 30th, the National Pension Service's Stewardship Committee reviewed the voting direction on the agenda of KT's regular shareholders' meeting at its 6th meeting and made this decision.
The National Pension Service cited the reason for opposing the reappointment of outside director Pyohyeon-myeong as "he is an executive who has worked at a company with an important business relationship within the last five years."
Regarding the appointments of outside director and audit committee members Kang Chung-gu and Yeo Eun-jeong, the National Pension Service decided to remain neutral.
Neutrality means that the National Pension Service exercises its voting rights proportionally according to the approval and disapproval ratios of the other shareholders.
