What If Mercedes Wears a Padding Jacket? First Reveal of Collaboration Project in Asia
Mercedes-Benz Korea showcased the results of the 'Project Mondo G' at the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show press preview held on the 30th.
The show car, created in collaboration with the Italian clothing brand Moncler, was first revealed at the Moncler show during London Fashion Week last month and is being presented in Asia for the first time. The exhibition space was also designed to evoke the Moncler show where the vehicle was initially unveiled.
Thomas Klein, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Korea, is photographed in front of the 'Project Mondo G' show car in collaboration with Moncler at the Seoul Mobility Show pre-press event on the 30th.
Project Mondo G marks Moncler's first collaboration with an automobile company. It combines the characteristics of Mercedes' off-road vehicle, the G-Class, with Moncler's distinctive padded jacket style.
The angular design of the G-Class contrasts with Moncler's unique quilted fabric lines. Additionally, the surface was treated to appear roughly rusted, emphasizing practicality and functionality. This contrasts with the shiny padded material.
