Group 'Next' Guitarist Im Chang-su Dies in Motorcycle Accident in Vietnam
It has been reported that guitarist Lim Chang-su, who was active in the group Next alongside the late Shin Hae-chul, passed away in a motorcycle accident in Vietnam. He was 54 years old.
According to Yonhap News on the 29th, the deceased collided with a utility pole while riding a motorcycle in Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province, Vietnam, at around 2:30 a.m. on the 25th. He was transported to a hospital but died.
The deceased was a second-generation member of the group Next, led by Shin Hae-chul. He played lead guitar on Next's second album released in 1994, titled The Return of Next Part 1: The Being.
The album includes tracks such as "Ijung In-gyeokja" (The Split Personality), "The Dreamer," "Nara Ra Byeongari" (Fly, Chick), and "The Ocean: About Immortality," and is considered one of the masterpieces in the history of Korean popular music.
