Visit to the National Institute of Animal Science Site in Cheonan on the 28th
Choi Sang-dae, the 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, visited the site of the National Institute of Animal Science in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do on the 28th and stated, "We will efficiently utilize state-owned land while promoting regional development and future industries."
Cheonan has been selected as a candidate site for a national industrial complex centered on the future mobility industry. The National Institute of Animal Science is planning to relocate to Hampyeong, Jeollanam-do by 2027 in accordance with the government's public institution relocation policy, and the government plans to develop the existing site into a national industrial complex. This is the first case of developing a national industrial complex solely on state-owned land. The development area is the largest among state-owned land development projects, covering 4.18 million square meters (1.26 million pyeong).

Vice Minister Choi emphasized, "For the successful promotion of the national industrial complex development project, it is very important to establish an efficient business plan through close cooperation among the government, local governments, and entrusted project implementers," and added, "We ask related organizations to actively cooperate so that the state-owned land can be developed into an innovative national industrial complex and become a model case of regional development."
