LGU+ 'Teum' Surpasses 1 Million Cumulative Visitors
LG Uplus announced on the 28th that the cumulative number of visitors to the MZ generation complex cultural space ‘Ilsang Bi Ilsang-ui Teum by U+’ has surpassed 1 million.
Teum is a complex cultural space and communication community opened by LG Uplus in September 2020 on Gangnam-daero, Seoul. LG Uplus operates Teum as part of its company-wide campaign ‘Why Not,’ which aims to realize customer value by breaking the prejudices of everyday life with bold ideas and challenges, and providing customers with ‘boundary-crossing enjoyment’ in their daily lives.

Teum operates various exhibitions and pop-up stores that interest the MZ generation as well as LG Uplus services throughout its six floors above ground and one basement floor. The pop-up stores are planned with new themes every month, and have been operated under various themes such as Hyundai Motor’s Ioniq (April 2021), New Balance’s Gray Lust Day (May 2022), and this year, the Galaxy S23 series (February) and the launch of LEGO BTS Dynamite (LEGO Ideas BTS Dynamite, 21339) (March), covering not only telecommunications but diverse topics.
On the third floor of Teum, a space has been set up since this month where customers can experience and purchase products from small business owners and venture entrepreneurs sold on ‘Wadiz,’ the largest funding platform in Korea, contributing to social value creation.
Since 2021, during the opening of about 40 pop-ups, people in their teens to thirties, known as the MZ generation, accounted for 73% of all visitors. Approximately 5,600 people visited Teum daily on average. The pop-up store with the highest number of visitors was the LEGO 90th Anniversary pop-up (about 85,000 visitors), followed by the Korea Tourism Organization Travel Market (about 59,000 visitors). The exhibition-type concert ‘SOUND FRAME’ by Antenna Music, held from May to July 2021, was also highly loved, with a ‘true fan’ visiting thirty-seven times during the period.
Thanks to its distinctive exhibition composition, Teum has been called the ‘MZ generation playground’ and ‘Gangnam date course’ for three years since its opening, gaining popularity through word of mouth. LG Uplus explained that this popularity enabled the cumulative number of visitors to reach 1 million.
To celebrate surpassing 1 million cumulative visitors, LG Uplus held a ‘Youth Private Party’ by inviting about 40 people, including 30 customers selected through the Youth website and 10 true fans of Teum selected through Teum’s SNS event. The party, hosted by comedian Kim Jae-woo and actress Kim Hye-yoon, was also broadcast live from 6 PM to 9 PM the day before.
Kim Darim, Head of Marketing Strategy at LG Uplus, said, “To capture the hearts of the MZ generation, we have collaborated with numerous partners at Teum over the past three years.” He added, “We expect Teum to continue to grow as a complex cultural space loved by even more of the MZ generation.”
