Park Ji-won Praises Yoon's Personnel Decisions... "Appointing Woo Jong-su as Head of the National Police Agency Was a Good Move"
"Proper Personnel Placement Must Be the Starting Point"
Former National Intelligence Service Director Park Ji-won said on the 27th that President Yoon Suk-yeol's appointment of Woo Jong-su, Chief of the Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency, as the 2nd Chief of the National Investigation Headquarters was "a good decision."
Park appeared on the National Assembly Broadcasting's 'National Assembly Live 1' that day and said, "I have been sharply critical of President Yoon's personnel appointments, but today I want to give praise for the first time."

Park also said, "I hope the personnel failures of the past year will be discarded," and added, "I hope President Yoon will consider appointments that take into account regional representation and women."
Earlier, President Yoon appointed Chief Woo, who was recommended by Police Commissioner Yoon Hee-geun, as the new Chief of the National Investigation Headquarters that morning. This came about a month after lawyer Jeong, a former prosecutor who was appointed as Chief of the National Investigation Headquarters on the 24th of last month, resigned midway due to his son's school violence issue.
