Korea Forest Service Selects '30 Premium Forest Trails' to Commemorate 50th Anniversary of National Greening
The Korea Forest Service announced on the 25th that it has selected the "30 Best Forest Trails for Walking" to commemorate the 50th anniversary of national greening this year.

View original imageThe 30 Best Forest Trails were selected based on recommendations from regional forest services (national forests) and city/provincial governments (public and private forests), evaluating factors such as accessibility for all citizens to easily and conveniently use the trails, as well as their forest/ecological, historical, and cultural values.
The top forest trail selected was the "Inje Birch Forest (Dalmaji Trail)," which was newly developed last year. Along this trail, visitors can encounter birch trees naturally growing along a small valley path.
The excellent forest trails include the "Sutmoru Hinoki Cypress Trail" and the "Baekyangsan Nadeul Forest Trail."

View original imageThe Jeju Sutmoru Hinoki Cypress Trail allows observation of the primeval vegetation at an altitude of 600?700 meters on the slopes of Hallasan Mountain in Jeju, while the Busan Baekyangsan Nadeul Forest Trail features gentle slopes and well-maintained facilities, making it accessible even for beginner hikers without much burden.
Additionally, the encouraging forest trails selected were the Daegu Biseulsan Dullegil (Okyeonji Songhae Park Dullegil) and the Chungnam Yesan Baekje Revival Army Trail Course 3 (Daeryeonsa Temple to Uijohunghyeongje Park).

Kang Hye-young, Director of Forest Welfare at the Korea Forest Service, stated, "We will actively promote the selected forest trails so that many citizens can visit them," and added, "The Korea Forest Service will continue to discover new forest trails and manage them systematically to enhance the quality of forest trails."
