A former employee in charge of cryptocurrency exchange listings was arrested for accepting large bribes in exchange for listing cryptocurrencies.
On the 21st, Judge Kim Ji-suk, who is in charge of warrants at the Seoul Southern District Court, issued an arrest warrant for Jeon, a former employee of the cryptocurrency exchange Coinone, citing concerns that he might flee.
According to the prosecution, Jeon is suspected of receiving approximately 1.9 billion KRW from two brokers, including Ko, in 2020, in exchange for facilitating cryptocurrency listings. Ko was arrested and indicted on charges of mediation of breach of trust on the 7th.
