Ulsan Ulju-gun Sangbuk-myeon, Operating 'Our Neighborhood Sarangbang' with Residents
Sangbuk-myeon, Ulju-gun, Ulsan, operates a 'Our Neighborhood Sarangbang' for the elderly and local residents at the local senior centers.
Established as a new project in Sangbuk-myeon this year, 'Our Neighborhood Sarangbang' is operated through public-private collaboration involving the Sangbuk-myeon Community Security Council, self-governing organizations, and local residents.
The programs, planned and selected directly by the elderly using the senior centers and local residents, are conducted a total of 20 times at the senior centers. Alongside this, efforts are made to strengthen the discovery and reporting system for vulnerable households to build a community welfare safety net.
In the first quarter of this year, programs such as learning how to use smartphones, botanical coloring, making Sipjeondaebo-hwan (a traditional herbal medicine), and creating art rubber shoes will be offered.
