Apartment Innovation Platform Startup 'Kim Jibsa' Acquires Multi-family Housing Management Company
Kim Jipsa, leading innovation in apartment platforms, has strengthened its apartment business portfolio by acquiring Gyeonggi Jinheung Housing Management, a multi-family housing management company. This is the first time a startup has acquired a multi-family housing consignment management company.
After acquiring I-One Service, a leading company in the multi-family housing security and cleaning industry last year, Kim Jipsa completed preparations for a generational shift in offline apartment management by also acquiring Gyeonggi Jinheung Housing Management, which is emerging in the multi-family housing consignment management sector. I-One Service and Gyeonggi Jinheung Housing Management manage and operate over 400 sites nationwide.
Starting its business with concierge services for apartment residents, Kim Jipsa evolved into an apartment convenience platform app business and recently launched the Kim Jipsa Pass, a shared entrance access system. Additionally, the launch of a parking management system is imminent. Kim Jipsa Pass aims to complete all necessary services for multi-family housing within 2023, starting with shared entrance access and parking management systems, followed by electronic voting and community facility operation management systems.
Amid the ongoing economic downturn since last year accelerating the contraction of the startup market, Kim Jipsa has successfully completed consecutive mergers and acquisitions, clearly differentiating itself from other startups with expectations to play a leading role not only in online but also offline services. This has attracted significant attention from many investors, and the company recently succeeded in securing another round of investment.
CEO Choi Woo-seok of Kim Jipsa stated that this momentum will enable Kim Jipsa to successfully integrate online and offline apartment management operations, dedicating itself to taking full responsibility for all aspects of apartment living.
