Gwangju Bitgoeul 50+ Center Launches 'Mampyeonhan Gwangju Aikiwoom Support Team'
Daycare Placement... Support for Eco-Friendly Childcare Programs
Gwangju Bitgoeul 50+ Center announced on the 20th that it recruited 20 participants in the first round for the 'Mom-Pyeonhan Gwangju Aikiwoom Support Group,' completed basic training, and then assigned them to daycare centers and held a launch ceremony.
The Mom-Pyeonhan Gwangju Aikiwoom Support Group project is one of the Bitgoeul 50+ job projects, supporting an eco-friendly childcare program for the bright and healthy growth of young children, including those in daycare centers, who are the future pillars of Gwangju. It focuses on improving the quality of daycare services and creating a safe and healthy childcare environment by guaranteeing childcare teachers' rest, lunch breaks, and vacation rights.
The recruited support group members were carefully selected citizens with excellent abilities among those qualified as childcare teachers, kindergarten teachers, or other childcare-related certifications. Before assignment, they underwent thorough basic training conducted by professional instructors and were then placed in requested daycare centers.
In particular, the support group is a social contribution-type job project promoted by Gwangju City to help families economically amid the reality of high inflation and high interest rates by utilizing excellent experience and qualifications.

A representative of the Bitgoeul 50+ Center said, "With the rapid population decline due to low birth rates and a majority of unmarried individuals, if a culture where society collectively cares for children and can be trusted to look after them spreads, it can contribute to increasing the birth rate." They added, "The center will actively provide field-oriented guidance and encouragement activities to ensure that the assigned support group performs exemplary roles."
