Air Premia Launches New New York Route in May
Air Premia announced on the 17th that it will launch a new Incheon-New York route on May 22. Following its entry into the LA route last October, marking the first time in 31 years for a Korean carrier, this is its second route to the Americas. Similarly, Air Premia will become the third Korean airline to operate the New York route.
Starting from the 16th, Air Premia began selling tickets to New York through its website. The inaugural flight is scheduled to depart from Incheon to New York Newark Liberty Airport on May 22. Unlike the JFK Airport, which is served by existing Korean carriers, Newark Liberty Airport near New York is often praised for its better accessibility to downtown New York. Especially for the Korean community residing in New Jersey, Newark Liberty Airport is closer than JFK Airport, providing another option for New Jersey residents and tourists.
The outbound flight operates four times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday), departing Incheon International Airport at 9:05 PM and arriving at New York Newark Liberty Airport at 10:00 PM local time. The return flight also operates four times a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday), departing New York Newark Liberty Airport at 12:30 AM local time and arriving at Incheon International Airport at 4:25 AM Korean time the next day.
When launching the LA route, Air Premia boasted a competitive price with round-trip tickets priced in the 800,000 KRW range, and it plans to operate the New York route with similarly affordable prices and high-quality service.
To celebrate the new New York route, Air Premia will offer special prices for customers purchasing tickets by the 19th: round-trip economy class tickets at 1,284,100 KRW and premium economy class tickets at 1,764,100 KRW. The travel period is from the inaugural flight on May 22 through October 28.

Geum Chang-hyun, Head of Passenger Business at Air Premia, said, "Since the comfortable premium economy seats at reasonable prices have already received positive feedback from LA passengers, we hope the same expectations will continue for the New York route," adding, "We will provide the best service so that customers can enjoy a safe and comfortable long-haul flight."
