Prosecutors Arrest and Indict Three Suspects for Methamphetamine Smuggling from Malaysia
The Violent Crime Investigation Division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Shin Junho) arrested and indicted three members of a methamphetamine smuggling organization from Malaysia on the 16th.
According to the prosecution, they are accused of entering the country through Gimhae Airport on the 27th of last month, concealing 7.2 kg of methamphetamine on their bodies (violation of the Special Act on the Control of Narcotics). Considering that the usual single dose of methamphetamine is 0.03 g, the amount they brought could be simultaneously used by approximately 240,000 people.
Prosecutorial investigations revealed that they are members of a Malaysian methamphetamine smuggling organization and had previously delivered large quantities of methamphetamine to domestic members in places such as Busan using the same method.
