McLaren Celebrates 10th Anniversary of Its First Hybrid Hypercar P1
British sports car brand McLaren announced on the 16th that it has designated this week as the 10th anniversary week of the launch of the McLaren P1.
The P1 was first unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and is the company's first hybrid vehicle. The recently revealed McLaren Artura is the latest hybrid supercar modeled after the P1.
The P1 delivers a powerful performance with a combined output of 916 horsepower, combining 737 horsepower from a 3.8ℓ twin-turbo V8 engine and 179 horsepower from a lightweight electric motor. Its top speed is 350 km/h, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 6.8 seconds, and 0 to 300 km/h in 16.5 seconds.
Only 375 units of this model were produced worldwide.
