Professor Kang Jaheon of Kyung Hee University Medical Center Ophthalmology Appointed President of the Korean Society of Optometry
Professor Kang Jaheon of the Department of Ophthalmology at Kyung Hee University College of Medicine has been inaugurated as the president of the Korean Optometry Society. The term of office is two years.
Founded in 2001, the Korean Optometry Society has contributed to the academic development related to optometry and the promotion of eye health for the entire nation. President Kang stated, "By joining forces with all subspecialties of ophthalmology, we will promote academic development in ophthalmology through optometry and cooperate with all ophthalmology-related institutions and organizations to contribute to the improvement of national eye health."

President Kang graduated from Kyung Hee University College of Medicine and has served as the chief professor of ophthalmology at Kyung Hee University, head of the ophthalmology department at Gangdong Kyung Hee University Hospital, and director of the Exchange Cooperation Center. He is also actively involved in promoting national eye health, having served as the publicity director of the Korean Glaucoma Society and the financial director of the Korean Ophthalmological Society.
