BMW Korea Launches 2-Seater Roadster Z4 in Korea
BMW Korea announced on the 10th that it will officially launch the authentic roadster New Z4 in the domestic market.
The BMW Z4 is BMW's representative two-seater roadster model. The new Z4 is a third-generation facelift model, and in Korea, the New Z4 sDrive20i M Sport Package and the M Performance model New Z4 M40i will be released. It features a classic black fabric soft top, dynamic exterior, and luxurious interior design. Additionally, it offers dynamic driving performance and advanced driving assistance systems.
The New Z4 adds various design elements to its sporty and clean exterior. The front features a newly designed kidney grille. Two character lines running across the side of the vehicle give a strong and dynamic impression.
It also enhances the charm of a traditional roadster with aggressive design large air intakes, an integrated spoiler on the trunk lid, slim L-shaped rear lights, and a rear diffuser. The electric fabric soft rooftop can be automatically opened and closed within 10 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h with just the touch of a button.
The BMW New Z4 is launched domestically with two engine specifications. First, the New Z4 sDrive20i is equipped with a BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 4-cylinder engine. It produces a maximum output of 197 horsepower and a maximum torque of 32.6 kg·m, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds.
The New Z4 M40i is equipped with a 3.0ℓ inline 6-cylinder engine featuring M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology, delivering a powerful 387 horsepower and 50.9 kg·m of maximum torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds. Additionally, all models’ engines are paired with the latest 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission.
The New Z4’s body provides a more agile yet precise handling feel through a 50:50 front-to-rear weight distribution, low center of gravity, and highly efficient aerodynamic design. Furthermore, the base model is equipped with M Sport suspension.
BMW has applied numerous driver assistance systems to the New Z4. All models come equipped with the BMW Head-Up Display. Advanced driver assistance features such as Driving Assistant, which includes frontal collision warning, pedestrian warning, and lane departure warning, as well as Parking Assistant with automatic steering function, have also been added.
