Dialogue with Residents of 12 Eup and Myeon... Receiving Suggestions

Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do, concluded the ‘2023 Residents’ Happiness Policy Talk,’ conducted for 12 eup and myeon areas since the 21st of last month to realize communication and empathy administration, with Gunoe-myeon and Sinji-myeon on the 6th.

According to the county on the 9th, this year’s policy talk explained last year’s administrative achievements and key projects to be promoted this year, such as the marine healing industry, marine bio industry, large-scale SOC projects, large-scale events and festivals, revitalization plans for agriculture and fisheries, and welfare policies, and was conducted as a ‘dialogue time with residents’ to listen to residents’ suggestions.

Through the dialogue time with residents of the 12 eup and myeon, a total of 111 suggestions were received, including drought countermeasures and promotion of abalone consumption.

The suggestions were addressed by establishing mid- to long-term plans after on-site verification, and urgent matters were promptly handled by the relevant departments.

In addition, the results of prior review will be notified to the suggesters, and the suggestions will be continuously managed until they are finalized.

After the policy talk ended, County Governor Shin visited drought sites such as Bogildo today and inspected the Fishing Village New Deal 300 project, regional hub projects, and fishing village new vitality promotion projects.

County Governor Shin Woo-cheol said, “It was meaningful to hear the voices of residents up close during this policy talk period, and I will continue to make efforts to carefully look after the lives of residents,” adding, “We will do our best to improve the quality of life of residents and ensure uninterrupted development of Wando.”

Meanwhile, before the policy talk event began, hometown supporters from all over the country donated 22.6 million won in hometown love donations to support the development of Wando.
