[Photo] Lim Jong-il, Vice President of Korea Rail Network Authority, Inspects Milyanggang Bridge Improvement Construction Site
The Korea Rail Network Authority announced on the 7th that Vice President Lim Jong-il visited the Gyeongbu Line Miryangganggyo Bridge improvement construction site to check the progress of the project and urged safety management in the sections adjacent to the operating tracks. The Miryangganggyo Bridge was completed in 1904 and operated as a single track before being double-tracked in 1945. Currently, an improvement project is underway to construct a new double-track bridge (700m) between the existing bridges. Completion is targeted for January next year.
