Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong visited 'Gumi Electronics Technical High School' located in Gumi, Gyeongbuk on the 7th to support the young future technology talents.
On this day, Chairman Lee observed the 'PCB (Printed Circuit Board for electronic devices)' design class at Gumi Electronics Technical High School and had conversations with students on topics such as ▲areas of interest in industry ▲dreams as technology talents.
Gumi Electronics Technical High School is a Meister high school that nurtures specialized technical personnel, with two departments: Electronics and Mechatronics. About 2,000 employees who graduated from Gumi Electronics Technical High School are currently active as skilled technical talents on site at major Samsung affiliates including Samsung Electronics, Samsung Display, Samsung SDI, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Samsung SDS, and Samsung Heavy Industries.
Chairman Lee said, "Young technology talents are the driving force behind manufacturing competitiveness," and added, "I will always support the technology talents responsible for on-site innovation."
On the same day, Chairman Lee also visited Samsung Electronics' 'Smart City' in Gumi to inspect the manufacturing site of the 'Galaxy S23,' which was launched worldwide in February. He held a meeting with production site employees responsible for ▲manufacturing ▲development ▲quality of smartphones and encouraged them. Samsung Electronics' 'Smart City' in Gumi serves as the central base for Galaxy smartphone production, developing the best manufacturing technologies and processes and transferring them to overseas production subsidiaries.
