The target is projects and research conducted within the last 3 years
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Craft & Design Foundation are accepting entries for the 'Korea Public Design Awards' until May 4. This is a flagship event in the field of public design that selects and promotes outstanding cases that the public can feel and empathize with.
The grand prize is awarded to projects and research conducted within the last three years. The former is divided into six categories: ▲ Public design enhancing safety in daily life ▲ Public design for all people ▲ Public design improving convenience in daily life ▲ Public design elevating the quality of life ▲ Public design campaigns ▲ Public design administration.
The latter focuses on innovative potential based on expertise. Research that proposes the future direction and role of public design will be awarded a special prize established with the support of the late Victor Margolin. Margolin was a world-renowned design scholar who participated as a keynote speaker at the 2015 International Design Congress.
