It supports club activities in six categories: broadcasting and film, music, performance, cooking, fashion, and beauty. Since 2019, over 7,000 youths have enjoyed opportunities for cultural creation activities through the youth cultural clubs.
Any club composed of four or more youths aged 12 to 18 who have dreams related to culture can apply. Applications can be submitted by selecting either the ‘Explore’ or ‘Advance’ course on the CJ Donors Camp website by the 4th of next month. Clubs selected for the Explore course will receive various benefits related to cultural creation activities for about nine months from next month through December. These include creative activity funds per club, cultural education courses, and opportunities to be promoted to the 2024 Advance clubs.
Teams with previous experience in youth cultural club activities can apply for the 2023 Advance course. Clubs selected for the Advance course will receive more specialized cultural creation education, including customized mentoring by experts in each field and special lectures. The mentoring program involves two university students majoring in related fields, ‘Master Mentors’ who are top experts in each category, and expert mentors composed of CJ employees and industry professionals. Support for creating digital portfolios of creative activities is also provided, and clubs can showcase their results directly at the ‘Youth Cultural Club Showcase’ held in November this year. Additionally, about 100 members of the ‘CJ Donors Camp University Volunteer Group,’ who will support mentoring and creative activities of the youth cultural clubs, will be recruited through the CJ Donors Camp website from the 20th of this month to the 17th of next month.
This year, the support period for Advance clubs, which was previously only five months, has been extended to nine months. The showcase, which was previously conducted in a screening format, will be separately operated in a customized performance format reflecting the characteristics of each category. Through organic cooperation with CJ affiliates such as CJ ENM and CJ CheilJedang, various job exploration and indirect experience opportunities such as workplace tours will be provided, and personalized growth support programs including scholarships and internships will be strengthened.
