Special 100-Day Anti-Corruption Inspection for Local Government Officials
Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Joint Operation with Provinces and Cities
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 5th that, starting tomorrow until June 16, it will conduct a joint "100-Day Special Inspection on Public Service Corruption" targeting local government officials in collaboration with provincial and city governments to foster a proactive work atmosphere in the public sector and enhance public trust as the full-scale work promotion period begins this year.
In particular, the Ministry plans to focus its inspection on chronic issues in local governments such as ▲high-ranking public officials' corruption involving various vested interests, ▲local entrenched corruption including unfair preferential treatment, ▲and lax public service discipline such as passive administration.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety operates an "Anonymous Reporting Channel for Public Service Corruption" on its website, allowing any citizen to report misconduct such as corruption or breaches of public service discipline, and urged the public to actively report such cases.
