Mapo Cultural Foundation, CEO Song Jeyong Reappointed
Mapo Cultural Foundation announced on the 2nd that Song Jeyong (58, photo), the current CEO, has been reappointed as the 6th CEO. The term is two years, from the 1st to February 28, 2025.

View original imageMapo Cultural Foundation explained that at the board meeting for the election of the 6th CEO held on February 3, CEO Song was unanimously reappointed as the sole candidate.
During his three-year term as the 5th CEO, Song led major initiatives such as obtaining certification as a family-friendly excellent institution, promoting the Smart Mapo Art Center, reopening the Mapo Art Center with 1,004 seats, branding the M Festival series, acquiring the Seoul Mapo Music Creation Center, and contributing to cultural and artistic community service.
CEO Song is a cultural and arts planning expert who has worked at the advertising department of Chosun Ilbo, the culture and education business department and cultural business department of Hankyoreh Newspaper, and served as the deputy director in charge of planning. He has also taught popular culture theory at Sungkyunkwan University and Duksung Women’s University, leading the organization with deep insight and rich field experience in culture and arts.
CEO Song said, “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve again as the CEO of Mapo Cultural Foundation. I will do my best to ensure that all Mapo residents and those who love culture and arts can enjoy differentiated performance content and cultural programs through innovative planning unique to Mapo Cultural Foundation.”
