Hong Kong Model Brutally Murdered, Body Parts Discovered
Ex-Husband's Relatives Arrested One After Another
Financial Motive Suspected in Murder Case
Hong Kong model Abby Choi (28) was found severely mutilated, and the investigation is revealing increasingly horrific details. The victim's head and some ribs, which had not been discovered until now, were found by the police inside a pot.
According to the South China Morning Post (SCMP) on the 27th (local time), the police discovered some of Abby Choi's body parts on the 26th of last month that had not been found before.
The British BBC reported that Hong Kong police charged Kwong Mo (28), Choi's ex-husband, with murder, mutilation, and disposal of the corpse, and charged Kwong's mother with obstruction of justice.
The father, brother, and mother were arrested first, and Kwong was caught the next day while attempting to flee Hong Kong by speedboat. None of them were granted bail.
It was reported that Kwong was in possession of valuables worth 4 million Hong Kong dollars (approximately 670 million KRW) at the time of his arrest. The police investigation is still ongoing.
Earlier, the police found parts of the missing woman's body in a refrigerator at a house. At the same house, a chainsaw, meat grinder, hammer, and other tools used to mutilate the body were also discovered. The house had been rented a few weeks ago by Choi's former father-in-law.
