Seo Young-ok, CEO of Fine Technology, was inaugurated as the 14th President of the Pukyong National University Alumni Association on the 27th.
On the afternoon of the same day, Seo was inaugurated as the new president at the inauguration and handover ceremony held at the Somin Hall on the 2nd floor of the Future Hall at Pukyong National University. The term is two years.
President Seo was elected as the first female president of the Pukyong National University Alumni Association in 2015, serving as the 10th president, and this time she became the first president to serve consecutive terms.
Seo, a member of the class of 1975 from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Pukyong National University, is an entrepreneur who has pioneered the industrial special tape market since founding Fine Technology in 1998, receiving awards such as the $10 million Export Tower, the Gold Tower Industrial Medal, and the Female Engineer Award.

View original imageIn her inauguration speech, President Seo said, “Our Pukyong National University has developed into a global university recognized regionally, nationally, and internationally,” and added, “We will continue to work together with the alumni association and alma mater to strengthen the university’s competitiveness and promote its development.”
Lee Seung-chul, the 13th president who stepped down on the same day, received a plaque of appreciation for his two years of leadership from 2021 as president of the alumni association.

On the occasion of the inauguration and handover, Seo Young-ok, the new president, and Lee Seung-chul, the former president, each donated development funds of 20 million won and 10 million won respectively to Pukyong National University, requesting that the funds be used for the growth and development of their alma mater.
