Sacheon-si Conducts Guidance and Inspection on Providing Alcohol to Youth in Food Service Establishments
Sacheon City in Gyeongnam Province will conduct inspections until March 13 targeting operators of general restaurants, entertainment bars, and karaoke bars within the jurisdiction to eradicate harmful activities such as providing alcoholic beverages to minors and to strengthen safety management in food service establishments.
The main inspection items include ▲guidance and inspection of acts such as providing alcohol to minors ▲compliance with refrigeration and freezing food preservation standards ▲prohibition of reuse of leftover food ▲overall safety management in food service establishments, including wearing hygiene caps and masks.
In particular, promotional materials on youth safety management will be distributed, and operators will be urged to mandatorily check identification when serving alcohol at food service establishments.
The city will provide administrative guidance with on-site corrective measures for minor violations found during inspections, and take administrative actions such as penalties for serious violations or intentional repeated offenses.
