Korea Health Industry Development Institute Announces Open Call for Institutions to Operate 'AI New Drug Development' Education and Promotion Project
The Korea Health Industry Development Institute announced on the 27th that it will recruit operating institutions for the '2023 AI Utilization New Drug Development Education and Promotion Project' until the 22nd of next month.
This project is a specialized human resource development initiative that supports everything from developing educational curricula to practical training reflecting field demands, so that the domestic pharmaceutical and bio industry can gain competitiveness in the field of new drug development using AI.
The main tasks include ▲Identifying field demands at each stage of AI-utilized new drug development ▲Developing and operating essential theoretical education through demand-based basic education at each stage ▲Building programs and databases (DB) used in AI-utilized new drug development education ▲Developing practical training programs and standard manuals as advanced education linked to basic education ▲Establishing networks in the AI new drug development field · and promotion.

An official from the institute stated, "We aim to intensively support the areas needed from basic to advanced education by identifying AI-utilized new drug development field demands according to the pharmaceutical and bio industry value chain," adding, "We will develop educational programs that help beginners or researchers with little experience who want to develop new drugs using AI to understand and utilize it on their own."
