Prosecutors Arrest 'Byeoksan Group 3rd Generation' on Drug Use Charges... Detention Hearing Today
The third generation of the Byeoksan Group has been arrested by the prosecution on charges of drug use and is under investigation.
According to the legal community on the 24th, the Violent Crime Investigation Division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Shin Junho) recently arrested Kim, the grandson of the founder of Byeoksan Group, on charges including violation of the Narcotics Control Act (psychotropic substances) and requested an arrest warrant.
At 3 p.m. on the same day, Judge Yoo Chang-hoon, in charge of warrants at the Seoul Central District Court, will conduct a pre-arrest interrogation (warrant hearing) for Kim.
Kim is the grandson of the late Kim In-deuk, honorary chairman and founder of Byeoksan Group, and is reported to be the largest shareholder of an agricultural machinery company that separated from the Byeoksan Group.
