The lecture was organized to enhance understanding of the manifesto and to share opinions on sincere implementation plans for the pledge projects of the 8th elected term.

Secretary General Lee Kwang-jae emphasized the roles of public officials and evaluation teams in keeping promises to residents, the importance of resident participation and communication, under the theme of ‘Manifesto and Communication Design,’ and advised on ways to promote pledges that align with the changing social trends.

Since the launch of the 8th elected term, Seo-gu Mayor Kim Yi-gang has presented 17 pledges and 67 projects for the development of the Seo-gu area.

Additionally, through reviews by project departments and deliberations by the Regional Development Advisory Committee composed of experts from various fields, 5 major sectors, 21 pledges, and 49 implementation projects were finalized.

Subsequently, to enhance transparency of the pledge projects and expand resident participation, a resident jury panel was formed and operated in collaboration with the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters, completing verification of the 49 implementation projects through three meetings.

Among these, 15 projects were finalized by accepting the opinions of the resident jury panel.

Seo-gu plans to continuously conduct quarterly inspections and evaluations by the resident jury panel to ensure sincere implementation of the pledge projects, and to expand resident participation by permanently disclosing the progress of pledge projects and activities of the resident jury panel on the district office website.

Seo-gu Mayor Kim Yi-gang said, “Pledge projects are precious promises to residents and foundational projects for regional development. We will do our best to complete the pledges with substance during the term by working together with the staff.”
