Unlike typical industry-academia collaborations that focus on practical training centered on fieldwork, this agreement involves Parnas Hotel executives directly lecturing in the regular hospitality management courses of the College of Hotel and Tourism. Dozens of hotel experts with decades of experience, including the CEO of Parnas Hotel, the general manager, and executives responsible for food and beverage, rooms, culinary, and sales & marketing departments, serve as instructors. The lectures cover ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management in the hotel industry, quality management cases of luxury hotels, efficient organizational management strategies, and comparative profitability analyses of various hotel businesses.
Special lectures will also be given by Oh Heung-min, executive chef overseeing the culinary departments of both Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas and InterContinental Seoul COEX, and Yoo Seung-min, the senior sommelier of Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas who was the first Korean sommelier to receive the 'Asia’s Best Sommelier' award.
The lectures were fully booked as soon as registration opened, with dozens of people on the waiting list, showing great interest. Parnas Hotel and Kyung Hee University plan to discuss expanding these lectures in the future.
