[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Hong Young-geun has been inaugurated as the 17th Chief of the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters.
According to the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters on the 21st, the new Chief Hong started his duties immediately with on-site visits, foregoing a separate inauguration ceremony.

He visited Dongbu Market, a fire prevention reinforcement zone, and spent time communicating with market officials.
He inspected various parts of the market to check the safety management status and urged the fire safety managers to exercise thorough caution and vigilance in fire prevention.
Chief Hong is from Yeonggwang, Jeonnam, graduated from Chosun University Affiliated High School, Kyung Hee University Department of Public Administration, and Ajou University Graduate School of Public Policy. He began his career in February 1997 as the 9th class fire officer.
He has served as Director of Education Support at Gyeonggi-do Fire School, Director of Fire Response Investigation at the National Fire Agency, Chief of Jeonbuk Fire Headquarters, Director of Equipment Technology Bureau at the National Fire Agency, and Planning and Coordination Officer at the National Fire Agency.
He is recognized for his extensive administrative capabilities and, above all, as an on-site fire expert with excellent practical sense, outstanding leadership emphasizing communication and harmony.
