Switzerland Grants Rapid Temporary Stay Permits to Displaced Persons from Turkiye
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Switzerland announced that it will implement a fast-track procedure to grant temporary residence permits to displaced persons from Turkiye who have relatives in Switzerland.
On the 20th (local time), the Swiss Federal Government Immigration Office announced that if residents of Turkiye submit applications for temporary residence permits at the Swiss Consulate General in Istanbul, their cases will be processed ahead of other consular services.
The Immigration Office stated that to improve work efficiency, additional diplomatic personnel have been dispatched to Istanbul, and as of the 17th, the number of temporary residence applications reached 1,500.
