11 Drunk Drivers Caught by Gyeongnam Police

The provincial police agency, which has been strengthening surprise drunk driving crackdowns since last week, announced on the 15th that it conducted a simultaneous crackdown across the province during the daytime.
In the crackdown that day, 153 police officers and 61 patrol cars were deployed at 41 locations throughout the province.
According to the provincial police agency, as a result of this crackdown, 7 people had their licenses revoked and 4 people had their licenses suspended.
Police are conducting a drunk driving crackdown in Sanho-dong, Masanhappo-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam.

During the daytime crackdown between 1 PM and 3 PM, one driver in the Jinju area with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.142% had their license revoked, and one person with 0.021% BAC was given a warning.
The provincial police agency explained that a total of 144 cases were cracked down on from the 9th to this day, which is a 22% increase compared to 118 cases caught during the same period last year.

A representative of the provincial police agency said, “Until the end of this month, all police stations in the province will continue crackdowns jointly with the mobile unit and the provincial police undercover patrol crackdown team. We will conduct crackdowns regardless of day or night, especially strengthening surprise crackdowns during the daytime to eradicate drunk driving.”
