SK Energy, Naver, Hanjin Launch 'The Better Delivery' to Ease Burden on Small Businesses
SK Gas Station as a 'Logistics Hub'
Joint Collection of Naver Smart Store SME Goods
Within the Region Starting March
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] SK Energy announced on the 13th that it will launch the 'The Good Delivery' service together with Naver and Hanjin to reduce the logistics burden on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The Good Delivery is a service that collects products from SMEs operating on Naver Smart Store in bulk for joint collection. By gathering products from SMEs in the area at SK gas stations located in prime urban locations, it is expected to reduce the cost and time involved in logistics.
SK Energy signed a business agreement with Naver in December last year for 'joint development of urban logistics services and future TECH (technology) cooperation' and has been preparing the The Good Delivery service.
The Good Delivery targets items with a combined length, width, and height of 80 cm or less and a weight of 5 kg or less. Using the Goodsplo system invested in by SK Energy, Hanjin Delivery will handle the final delivery of the collected products. The delivery fee is set at an economical level to reduce the burden on SMEs. SMEs wishing to use The Good Delivery can apply through the Naver Smart Store Seller Center starting from the 13th, and the pilot service, including parcel collection, will begin on March 2.
SK Energy and Naver will first conduct the pilot service targeting SMEs in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, and then gradually expand the target areas. The two companies also plan to continue cooperating on future logistics technology innovations such as demand forecasting, urban logistics center automation, and delivery innovation by utilizing AI, cloud, and robotics.
