LG Uplus to Release Idol Variety Show 'Gyoyangitgo' on the 13th
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] LG Uplus announced on the 12th that it will release the idol variety show 'Gyoyangitgo (高): EDU K-DOL' (hereinafter 'Gyoyangitgo') on the 13th. It is a new original content produced by LG Uplus's dedicated content production team 'STUDIO X+U'.
'Gyoyangitgo' is a variety show with the concept of diagnosing idols' cultural literacy levels and providing knowledge care tailored to them. Teachers from various fields such as history, economics, and science meet with idol students to conduct classes that create entertainment.
The MCs leading 'Gyoyangitgo' are broadcaster Jang Sung-kyu, a former announcer, and singer Kim Sung-kyu, formerly of the idol group Infinite. The duo, called 'Two Sung-kyus,' serve as mentors who diagnose idols' cultural literacy levels and match them with appropriate classes. 'Gyoyangitgo,' consisting of a total of 24 episodes, offers lectures in twelve fields including English (episodes 1-2), science (3-4), history (13-14), and economics (17-18), according to each idol's cultural literacy skills. Idol groups such as DAY6, AB6IX, and NU'EST, along with renowned instructors like Cha Gil-young (mathematics), Kwak Geum-joo (psychology), and Bae Ki-beom (physics), are scheduled to appear.

The first enrolled students are singer Yoon Ji-sung and DAY6's Sungjin, who will attend English classes taught by instructor Joo Hye-yeon. The show will be released at 5 p.m. on the 13th.
