Changwon City Awards Appreciation Plaques to Companies, Organizations, and Individuals for Practicing Neighborly Love
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] On the 1st at 2 PM, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held an appreciation plaque awarding ceremony for contributors to social contribution and neighborly help in 2022 at the Citizen Hall.
The awarding ceremony was organized to express gratitude to the contributors who donated for the citizens of Changwon throughout the past year. Among the supporters who practiced neighborly sharing and help in 2022, 25 contributors were selected: 5 companies, 8 institutions/organizations, and 12 individuals.

View original imageThe city continues efforts to support crisis households in welfare blind spots that do not receive public welfare benefits. Accordingly, throughout 2022, the city received donations totaling approximately 3.87 billion KRW through various means such as 1:1 partnerships, cash and goods, housing environment improvements, kimchi-making, and briquettes from companies, organizations, and citizens, supporting 92,000 struggling households with emergency living expenses, medical expenses, heating costs, daily necessities, scholarships, and more.
Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, said, “Despite difficulties, many citizens, organizations, and companies have supported in various ways to help neighbors who are more in need than themselves, and I am grateful for that. With the good influence shared together, we will strive to embrace the precious lives of citizens and realize warm inclusive welfare where no one is left out.”
