Yeongyang-gun Conducts Rural Women Life Science Innovation Education
Training Female Leaders Contributing to Regional Agricultural Development
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwi-yeol] Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk Province (Governor Oh Do-chang) will conduct a six-day touring education program for about 300 members of the Life Improvement Association across six eup and myeon from February 2 to February 10 to cultivate the professional skills and provide healing for rural women.
This education aims to exchange information among members through communication and harmony by forming a close network, enhance the sense of mission of rural women, and improve individual capabilities to play a leading role in the local rural community.
The curriculum includes yoga training to relieve chronic fatigue caused by agricultural work for women farmers, fostering a healthy body and mind to serve as rural women leaders playing a pivotal role in regional development. Additionally, on February 1, education on the 2023 Life Improvement Association projects and events, as well as a discussion session for revitalizing the organization, were held.
Furthermore, inauguration and retirement ceremonies for new chairpersons of each eup and myeon were conducted together, creating an encouraging occasion for the newly starting Life Improvement Association.
