The local agricultural cooperatives include Bukshinan Nonghyup, Bigeum Nonghyup, Namshinan Nonghyup, Dochon Nonghyup, Aphae Nonghyup, Shinan Nonghyup, and Imja Nonghyup, totaling seven cooperatives. The heads unanimously agreed at the monthly meeting to contribute the scholarship funds.
Kim Byung-nam, head of Namshinan Nonghyup, said, “Despite the economic difficulties, the heads of the cooperatives have pooled their resources to donate the scholarship funds,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to help establish a foundation to discover local talents who will lead our Shinan in the future.”
