Suseong Salvacion Completes Delivery of Autonomous Driving Drone Robot to POSCO
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Suseong Salvation announced on the 30th that it has completed the delivery of autonomous driving dross robots to POSCO, the No. 1 steel company in Korea.
Dross is an impurity generated during the metal processing process at steel companies. The autonomous driving dross robot developed by Suseong Salvation plays a role in removing foreign substances in the steel manufacturing process, which is inaccessible to humans due to high temperatures.
Suseong Salvation has accumulated related technologies by carrying out various national projects, and was recognized for its technological capabilities, leading to the first delivery to POSCO in 2020. Last year, the company received an order from POSCO and completed the development of an upgraded version of the new product.
The company explained that even after delivering robots to POSCO in the past, it has continuously upgraded its products through ongoing research and development.
Kim Deokjin, CEO of Suseong Salvation, said, “In addition to the dross robot, we are developing robots that can replace humans at construction sites through collaboration with domestic large corporations as a future-oriented business. Since the development is almost in the final stage, we expect delivery to proceed soon.”
