Gwangju National Science Museum Successfully Completes 'Invitation of a Collector' Education Program
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The National Gwangju Science Museum announced on the 30th that the '2023 Winter Vacation Science Museum and Museum Stories' education program was successfully held.
The program is a joint educational initiative planned by the Science Museum and the National Gwangju Museum, which started in 2019 and is now in its fifth year.
By highlighting the unique characteristics of both institutions, it is a program where participants can learn about scientific principles and cultural heritage in one place, gaining popularity every year.
This time, the program was designed to scientifically explore the characteristics of the neon signs in the 'Brahms' artwork from the collection of the late Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-hee, and to create their own neon sign artworks.
Through cultural heritage exploration and hands-on experiences such as art book and papertoy making, the program was operated to help participants easily and enjoyably understand and learn about cultural assets.
