According to Seongnam City on the 27th, the 69th Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival will take place from May 11 to 13, and the 13th Disabled Sports Festival will be held from April 27 to 30 at venues including Seongnam and Tancheon Stadium.
Seongnam City shaped the emblems for these two events using the letter 'S', the first letter of Seongnam in English, as a flame and a dynamically leaping athlete. This conveys a hopeful message of Gyeonggi residents uniting and moving forward together into the future.
The event mascots were designed as Saenam-i and Saerong-i, Seongnam City's mascots, holding the event torch. The current mascot images were applied to enhance the promotional effect of both the provincial sports festival and Seongnam City's brand.
The slogans for the Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival and the Disabled Sports Festival are ▲Better Gyeonggi, Hope in Seongnam! ▲Challenging Gyeonggi! Leap in Seongnam! respectively.
A Seongnam City official stated, "Based on the results of the symbolic items and manual development project for the provincial sports festival conducted over the past three months, we finalized the designs for the event symbols. Since the provincial sports festival will be held in Seongnam for the first time in 18 years since 2005, we plan to prepare thoroughly."
